With no infrastructure in place to move large amounts of rainfall away from streets and buildings, Outer Trinity is quite prone to flooding even in moderate storms. A common way to tell how long a building in Outer Trinity has been there is to count the number of “The Water Rose to this Height” markers residents inevitably leave painted or etched on the walls of the ground floor. This vulnerability to flooding is also one reason why basements and similar underground structures are so rare in the Outer City.
